About Dotty & Friends

Down at the edge of the bay stands a little lighthouse, and Dotty is the one who looks after it. She sings hello to the boats, counts the toes on your feet, helps everyone tidy up, and turns on the big light when it's time for bed. Alongside her are Bob the little blue boat, Snap the tidy crab, Jelly the wobbly jellyfish, cheeky Gully the seagull and sleepy Star the starfish. Built around singalongs, counting, colours, feelings and daily routines, Dotty & Friends moves at a calm, unhurried pace — warm and giggly, never in a hurry, and always sure you're doing wonderfully.

Meet The Characters

Dotty

Dotty

Keeper of the little lighthouse, and everyone's big sister at the bay. She's warm and giggly and never in a hurry — and a little bit dotty herself, forever hunting for the hat that's already on her head. Her dots are all over her clothes: her headband, her jumper, even her wellies.

Bob the Little Blue Boat

Bob the Little Blue Boat

The little blue boat who toots when he's happy — which is often. Bob bobs about the bay looking for jobs to do, carrying parcels to the jetty and ferrying his friends across the water. He may be little, but Bob is mighty, and he flies his white flag with one big red dot as proudly as anything.

Snap the Crab

Snap the Crab

The busy one, who claps his claws to the beat. Snap scuttles sideways around the rockpool all day, keeping time to every song and popping things back exactly where they belong. He's the tidiest crab in the whole bay, and very proud of it indeed.

Jelly the Jellyfish

Jelly the Jellyfish

The wobbly one, who leads every single dance. Fast wiggles, slow wiggles, big bouncy jumps and tiny tiptoe steps — if there's dancing happening at the bay, you can be quite sure Jelly started it.

Gully the Seagull

Gully the Seagull

The cheeky one, with a big appetite and an even bigger heart. Gully borrows things he probably shouldn't (he always brings them back), puts his hat on his foot instead of his head, and sings a little bit too loudly — but when a friend needs a hug, he's the very first one there.

Star the Starfish

Star the Starfish

The sleepy one, tucked up snug in the rockpool. Star spends most of the day having a lovely snooze, and when everyone has finished wiggling and jiggling, shows them how to stretch up tall, let out a great big yawn, and go all soft and sleepy.
